Dominik Mysterio is currently considered one of the best heels in the entire professional wrestling industry. Ever since turning on his own father last year, he continues to garner heat from the WWE Universe. The long-term father-son feud between Dom and Rey Mysterio culminated in a showdown at WrestleMania 39. Meanwhile, despite being defeated by his father at Mania, Hard-Prison Dom is still carrying his momentum.
Following the months of disrespect towards his own father, Dominik Mysterio is perhaps getting under the skin of fans the most. As a result, he gets booed out of the building whenever he is in front of a live audience, regardless of the show or place. While Dom may be the most hated on screen, many people within the wrestling community are quite impressed with his improvement as a heel.

The former WWE superstar Chavo Guerrero expressed his views on Dom getting heat from fans in an interview with Bill Apter. He stated, “I’d say Dominik needs to really beat the cr** out of somebody. I think he needs Uncle Chavo to come in and show how to really be a Guerrero!”. Since he has been calling himself Eddie Guererro’s son.
The former cruiserweight champion further went on to compare Dominik’s work with the late professional wrestling legend, Brian Pillman. Chavo said, “You don’t know what he’s going to do next. Look at a guy like Brian Pillman. He was very unpredictable, and he was tough”. He also admitted that people don’t hate the guy, instead they despise him.
Is Dominik Mysterio the Actual Son of Eddie Guerrero?
The storyline between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero began in 2005 and involved Rey’s little son Dominik Mysterio. Later, Eddie revealed that he was the biological father of Dominik, and called himself Dom’s Papi. As the feud escalated, it eventually culminated in a ladder match with Dominik’s custody on the line, which Rey won.
Many fans even actually believed that Dom is Eddie’s son and Rey adopted him during the angle. However, the storyline in which Eddie claimed to be Dominik’s biological father was a scripted storyline for WWE. And not a reflection of the real-life situation, as Rey is the biological father in real life.
Years later, The Master of 619 teamed up with his own son, and multiple Eddie Guerrero references were made during the father-son story. Hard-Prison Dom also keeps mocking Eddie ever since turning heel. In one of the promos, he even said that maybe he should’ve been Eddie’s son, to generate more heat.
