Gervonta Davis’ Heartwarming Gesture for Ryan Garcia’s Mother

After having one of the biggest boxing events of the generation, Gervonta Davis finally came out victorious against the young, surging Ryan Garicia.

Although some may feel the ending wasn't expected, as they might say KingRy gave up too soon, the fight lived up to its hype with all those trash talks and verbal back and forths.

Prior to the fight, 'Tank' threatened Ryan and went on to his family, especially his mother, saying, "And don’t even bring your mother or your daughter, don’t bring them..."

However, Ryan's mother, Lisa Garcia, came, only to see him lose. Ryan was also seen comforting her after his loss. However, what Tank did after the fight brought a smile to everyone's face.

At the post-fight press conference, Tank sought to hug Ryan's mom. Although Lisa initially jokingly resisted, she finally embraced him, and they almost had a mother-son talk there for a while.

Lisa was seen whispering in Davis' ears while he was calm and quietly listening to her, showing respect for her. After their conversation, Lisa bid goodbye to Tank with a tender touch on his chin.

Lisa didn't shy away from accepting the defeat. She said, "My son did his best and we accept the defeat with no excuses." She added that it takes guts to put one's record on the line to accept such a tough fight.

Their gesture marked a sweet ending to their rivalry and depicted that the game is all about mutual respect after all. Tank and KingRy were also seen exchanging phone numbers afterwards.
