Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit and husband of tennis star Serena Williams, has taken a huge step towards addressing the issue of climate change.

Ohanian recently launched the 776 Foundation, named after his venture capital fund, Seven Seven Six, which aims to support the challenge of climate change.

The foundation's first campaign is a fellowship that will give $20 million to young people over the next decade to work on climate solutions.

The fellowship will support 20 climate fellows between the ages of 18 and 23 each year with a $100,000 grant, along with support from the foundation’s network of founders, investors, and partners.

The grants aim to promote inclusivity by providing funding to support various initiatives, including the creation of new climate-tech startups and activism.

They are intended to reach a diverse group of people who may not have had access to funding opportunities in the past.

Twenty young individuals worldwide have already received the first round of funding to support their projects. These initiatives include carbon emission reduction and preventing wildfires.

Ohanian sees the fellowship as an opportunity to make a valuable contribution to preserve the planet and be able to tell his daughter, Olympia, that he was part of the solution to a worldwide crisis.
