Gerard Pique and Shakira were one of the most celebrated and cherished soccer couples. The couple first met at the 2010 World Cup opening ceremony.
The duo welcomed two children, and it all looked good for a while. However, a revelation made by a Spanish journalist brought havoc in the lives of Shakira and Pique.
The former Barcelona defender was caught having an affair with a Kosmos employee, Clara Chia, courtesy of Jordi Martin.
The Colombian singer did what she had to do and decided to split up with Pique. She won her children's custody and decided to fly to Miami with them.
The saga didn't stop there, as there were many altercations and pokes from both parties. Amidst the feud, an interview with Shakira is gathering great views as she explains everything about the rift.
In the interview, Shakira explained what she went through post-breakup as she said, "You have to tolerate frustration, there are things that don’t go your way. I have two children and I have to be a lioness for them”.
She further added, "I am in the public eye, and because of that our separation is not like a normal separation.”My lyrics are more effective than a visit to a psychologist. The opposite of depression is expression."
This suggests that motive behind the Shakira and Bizzarap's diss song was to counter her depression and termed that as a "Healing session".
