The removal of Darren Till has undoubtedly surprised UFC fans. After losing to Tyron Woodley at UFC 228 for the welterweight belt, his promising young career suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Till has fought 5 times since then, losing 4 of them. His only victory was against Kelvin. Earlier, Till had impressed the MMA community so much that Israel Adesanya, former middleweight champ, was interested in challenging him!

Till switched to middleweight after his consecutive losses to Woodley and Jorge. But it wasn't going as expected. He has lost 3 times since increasing his weight to 185 lbs against Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson, and recently, Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282.

In addition to Darren Till, Zubaira Tukhugov and Jose Johnson those who were Khabib Nurmagomedov's teammate was decided to be removed by the UFC.

Jose Johnson was withdrawn from his scheduled fights at UFC Vegas 65 and recently from UFC Vegas 70 last weekend due to a medical condition. After two cancelled fights, it appears that the UFC has finally removed him.

Back at UFC 284, Zubaira lost a fight by decision to Elves Brenner. While he missed weight for his final bout and had two fights postponed before the loss, he still defeated Ricardo Ramos by decision.

Till never gave off the impression that he was prepared for his bout. In addition, his career has also been hampered by a number of injuries. But things didn't work out for him.

Darren Till will leave with a UFC record of 6 wins, 5 defeats, and 1 draw. His MMA record is 18-5-1 at this time. As of yet, neither party has made an official comment regarding Till's release.
