Jon Jones Ready to Forget His Beef With Former Rival Daniel Cormier

With a number of heated rivalries, outside fights, and friends who become enemies in addition to the action inside the octagon, the UFC never fails to surprise the audience.

The fight becomes even more interesting when two championship holders, who don't happen to like each other, compete for the title. Such was the rivalry between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier.

The fight between Jones and Cormier in UFC 214 is one of the greatest fights, in which Jones ended up knocking out Cormier. The match, however, was declared a no contest after Jon tested positive for a turnabout metabolite.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion will return to the octagon after a long absence, and it seems that he has no grudge or ill will toward Daniel Cormier ahead of his UFC 285 return.

Jones will be competing against Ciryl Gane, looking to accomplish the feat accomplished by Cormier, namely winning the heavyweight title and becoming a multi-division champion.

It is expected that Cormier will be called as an analyst for the Jones match, and the latter rather seems to be happy with the decision, as he wishes Daniel the best in his new role.

Jones took to Twitter and wrote, "DC you are more than welcome to commentate at my fight, I think you are really good at what you do. I trust that you would be non-biased. All the best brother".

When suggested an interview with Daniel, Jones wrote, "Whoever wants to do it, totally cool with me. I feel like I’m in a whole new chapter of my life, let bygones be bygones.”
