Dagestani mixed martial artist and Khabib's protege, Islam Makhachev, surely has the potential to be one of the greats in the UFC.

Under Khabib's guidance, Islam won the lightweight division championship and has the longest active winning streak in the UFC with 12 consecutive victories.

However, the UFC fighter has found himself in trouble after his recent fight with Alexander Volkanovski, as he is accused of cheating.

Dan Hooker, Volkanovski’s teammate, accused Islam Makhachev of cheating at UFC 284. Hooker alleged that Islam Makhachev used IV fluids after a horrible weight cut at UFC 284.

Dan took to Twitter and made a series of posts accusing Islam of being a cheater as he shared the punishment for the usage of IV fluids which were banned in UFC back in 2016.

"Islam is a cheat," Hooker wrote, replying to a tweet. "Dumb c*nt thinks he can fly to Australia hire a nurse to give him an I.V and we won’t find out. Cheating dog." He wrote in another tweet.

Hooker also shared an image of a Google search describing a 2-year suspension for using IV drugs and wrote, "USADA doing f*ck all".

Islam still has a long career ahead of him. Finding himself guilty in such circumstances can largely affect his career and the reputation of upcoming fighters from Dagestan.
