Al-Nassr women’s team coach has praised Cristiano Ronaldo and credited his motivational nature. According to the manager, Ronaldo was an important ingredient for the final success of the women’s team.
The manager said, “The secret behind achieving the league title for the first time in history is Captain Ronaldo’s attendance to training and speaking with the players.”

Goalkeeper Sara told Arabic outlet Sport24, “Ronaldo’s visit certainly affected us positively. After he attended the training session and took souvenir photos with us, he wished us success in our match against Al-Ittihad Club in the penultimate round.”
The manager and the player were referring to a wholesome moment when Ronaldo had come to visit the Al-Nassr women’s team at training. He motivated the team to do well in the remaining games of the league season. Al-Nassr’s official Twitter account posted about it as well.
“Our women stars have their support from the greatest Ronaldo meets #AlNassr’s women football team. And gives a message for the two remaining matches,” Al Nassr FC captioned the tweet. The team was left with two games in the league season after Ronaldo provided his motivation. They won both those matches to clinch the league title.

The Portuguese icon took to his Instagram to celebrate the fantastic achievement of his club’s women’s team. Al-Nassr women’s team won the inaugural edition of the Saudi Women’s Premier League. They showed true champions’ spirit after fighting from a losing position. Ronaldo captioned his post, “Huge congratulations to @alnassr_fc women’s on their 1st league win. Such a fantastic achievement.”

Al Nassr won 3-2 over Al-Yamamah in a dramatic finish. The final match day was the 14th match day of the season. Entering this match day, Al-Nassr was only one point ahead of Al-Hilal, who was set to play Al-Ittihad at the same time as Al-Nassr’s match.
A day of back and forth unfolded in the Saudi Arabian women’s league. Al-Ittihad led against Al-Hilal, however, Al-Nassr was also down to Al-Yamamah 2-1. Eventually, Al-Nassr turned it around to win 3-2. Meanwhile, Al-Hilal finished their thrilling match 4-4.
Al-Nassr won the league title with 35 points on the board. Al-Hilal came second with 32 and in third place, it was Al-Shabab with 26 points.
Ronaldo has shown a great interest in helping out the women’s team and it has benefitted the women. The Portuguese icon signed a bumper contract worth over $200 million a year with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr. He was revealed as an Al-Nassr player earlier this year following the announcement on December 30, 2022.
In his latest match, Ronaldo scored four past Al-Wehda. He scored all four goals in a match that ended 4-0. Al-Nassr’s men’s team is also on course to follow the women as they lead the league table.
