The world was awed by PSG's effort as they managed to pull off some great signings in recent times that have helped them build a lineup filled with soccer superstars.
The golden period of PSG started when they joined hands with Neymar and Mbappe in 2017, with the former being the most expensive signing to that date.
And later, the French elites signed one of the greats of the game, Lionel Messi, in 2021 for $75 million per year.
The MMN trio became the talk of the town in the soccer fraternity and became a thorn for every other team; however, it is all falling apart now for PSG as rumors loom of Neymar and Messi's departure from the club.
The reports suggest that the club is not looking forward to extending the contract with Neymar as they have decided to let him go for a talented youngster such as Rashford, Rafael Leo, etc.
On the other hand, there is a contrasting approach by the club as they want Messi to stay but the southpaw is hesitant to remain in Paris.
A media outlet tweeted, "PSG continues to do everything to extend Messi. The two sides were close to an agreement but a doubt has settled in Messi's head".
They further added, "He(Messi)would rather have a departure from PSG in mind! The hypothesis of an extension is not ruled out, but it is not favored."
