LeBron James Didn't Have a Home and Slept on a Couch as a Kid

Born in Akron, Ohio, LeBron James is currently one of the best players in the NBA. After passing Kareem's all-time record, there's no doubt that he could be the best player of all time.

LeBron James currently has a net worth of $ 1 billion which he earned mostly from endorsements and other business ventures.

He has commanded more than $385 million in salary from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers as the NBA’s highest-paid active player.

Although he is a billionaire now, while growing up James had a very tough time.

His father was an ex-con who wasn't there when he grew up due to which he had a very difficult childhood.

He did not have a permanent house and used to sleep on couches as a kid.

Luckily for LeBron, his coach Frankie Walker took LeBron under his wing and let him stay with his family, where he could get away from the projects and focus on school and basketball.

It wasn't always easy for King James. But as we all know, he persevered through it and is now one of the best players to ever play basketball.
