WWE is one of the world's biggest wrestling entertainment industries. One of the reasons it managed to do so was because of the frequent introduction of celebrities into the WWE ring.

Back in 1998, WWE was at its peak with a star-studded roster that included legendary wrestlers like The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock.

However, for Vince, this popularity was not enough, as he introduced boxing legend Mike Tyson into the ring to glorify the WWE and make it a center of attraction for wrestling fans.

"Iron Mike" was introduced as the special guest referee for the main event of Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania. Mike feuded with Austin but ended up helping him win the match.

Astonishingly, Mike Tyson was paid a whopping $3 million to make his appearance in the main event of WrestleMania. However, experts believed that this was just the beginning, as Vince had secret plans for the 56-year-old.

Vince Russo recently revealed the plan Vince McMahon had for Mike, as he said, "That was all Vince. 1000 percent. The interesting thing to me, though, was I don't know if I have told this story here on not, bro there was no doubt in my mind Vince had an ulterior motive."

Russo also explained how McMahon wanted to manage the career of Iron Mike, as he sent his son Shane everywhere Mike would go.

"I think Vince wanted to manage Mike Tyson's career. Bro, he attached Shane to Tyson. It's like wherever Tyson was, Shane was right there. I think Vince was thinking if there was a way somehow he could represent Tyson. I believe that." Russo said.
