Kevin Durant is an American Basketball player, playing in the NBA. Durant plays for the Phoenix Suns after being traded from the Brooklyn Nets. The Seatle Super Sonics (Oklahoma City Thunder) drafted Durant as the 2nd overall in the first round. Since he arrived in the NBA he has gone from strength to strength. Today he is one of the best players in the NBA and can challenge anyone on any given day.
Every big name in the NBA has nicknames attached to them. However, one can say that Kevin Durant has one of the sickest nicknames, “The Slim Reaper”. Durant won the Rookie of the Year award in his first season. He is a 2x NBA champion and a 2x Finals MVP. One point to consider is that he excels in getting buckets, and has won the scoring title 4 times.
The Slim Reaper is a name stuck with his physicality and excellent shooting ability. He is tall and thin, and he can shoot buckets from any given range. Currently, Durant is with his 4th team in the NBA, after the Nets failed to keep hold of Kyrie Irving. Kyrie considers Durant his best friend and even congratulated him on his decision to move away from the Nets.
Initially, Durant didn’t like the nickname, “I’m here to shine a bright light. I’m not here to be a guy of, I guess, death. We’ll see what happens with that, but I just like KD better. Everybody’s been loving the name. I think I’m the only one that doesn’t like it too much.” Said, Durant.
