One member of the McMahon family that many aren't talking about in recent times is Vince McMahon's son Shane McMahon. Shane's last WWE appearance was at the 2022 men's Royal Rumble match.

Shane McMahon was reportedly fired by his father Vince McMahon following last year's Royal Rumble match after Shane was given the responsibility of booking the match and he made a mess out of it.

Vince's son who was the lead producer of the Royal Rumble match decided to book himself strong by entering the Rumble at the number 28 position and was among the final three in the match.

Fightful Select reported that Shane wanted to enter the match at the number 29 position and 'specifically wanted to go on in a spot that would highlight him.'

The match received criticism from fans across the world and the morale among the talents backstage was reportedly at an "all-time low" following the 2022 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.

According to Wrestletalk, despite receiving negative responses from the fans and people behind the scenes, Shane received $828,000 for his one-off appearance at the event.

After the recent news regarding WWE's sale, it'll be interesting to see if Shane McMahon will make a return to the company in any capacity. As of now, it looks unlikely.
