Manchester City has been one of the most successful English clubs in recent times. They are widely praised for their professional and consistent performance in the tournaments.

Man City so far has won the premier league titles 6 times and also has 3 FA cups in their trophy cabinet in which Pep Guardiola played a major role as under the Spanish genius the club won 4 premier league titles itself.

However, the club right now is in tatters following an investigation made by the premier league that alleges the club of breaking financial rules between 2009 to 2018.

Reports also came out stating that Manchester City has been stubborn in the investigation and has shown no cooperation with the authorities.

If found guilty, Man City could face the following penalties: an unlimited fine, suspension from playing in league matches for an indefinite period of time, point deductions, replays of previous matches, and permanent expulsion.

Fans are shocked by these revelations, as some reports also suggest that Manchester City will be stripped of the titles they won between 2009 and 2018.

In retaliation, the club issued a statement saying, "Manchester City is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules".

The statement further mentioned, "The club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position."
