WrestleMania 39 is on its way, and confirmation has been made that The Rock will not make his appearance in the glorious event amid his absence in the Royal Rumble 2023.

The Rock was expected to return to WWE in the Royal Rumble 2023 and later compete with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

However, a sudden twist appeared in the story when Cody Rhodes returned to WWE after suffering from a pectoral muscle injury. He made his comeback significant by winning the Royal Rumble.

The winner of the Royal Rumble gets an opportunity to face the WWE Champion in the upcoming WrestleMania main event. As a result, The Rock is unlikely to face The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania.

While The Brahma Bull may not appear in WrestleMania 39, he has hinted that WrestleMania 40 will be celebrated.

While speaking with Wrestling Observer Radio, American Journalist Dave Meltzer discussed the unlikely presence of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania and the likelihood of The Rock's return at WrestleMania 2024.

"Oh, don't you think it's a swerve they keep saying it's not a swerve?'. It's not a swerve. I've been told this for a while. There's always the 'Maybe it's a secret', like the Pat McAfee thing, right? Only a few people know. We're past that point." Meltzer told the reporter.

"Dwayne's not wrestling anybody else unless it's a three-second match. He did not feel that he had the time to get in the shape that he needed to be in to do a WrestleMania-calibre main event, and he left the door open for next year." Meltzer further added.
