According to Sliced Wrestling, The Rock has turned down a match at WrestleMania 39 due to the departure of Vince McMahon.

The Rock is one of the most popular WWE superstars. Fans expected the Rock to make his presence in the WWE known in the Royal Rumble and compete against the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

The Hollywood superstar was one of the five biggest betting favorites to win the Royal Rumble match. However, The Rock did not appear at the Royal Rumble event, nor was he even really mentioned.

Cody Rhodes won the Royal Rumble to earn an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. It is also very likely that Reigns will be targeted by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens after what he did to them at the end of the Royal Rumble.

During a Royal Rumble press conference that aired on WWE’s YouTube channel after the show, Triple H was questioned about The Rock's absence in the Royal Rumble, to which The Game joked that The Rock wouldn't be in shape.

“Apparently he can’t get in shape in time. That’s what all you tell me.” said Triple H. " He’s incredibly busy. I can say this, as a guy, we grew up as two young kids fighting each other for the spot and having battles over it and, in the best way, pushing each other. We all were in that time.”

"I know for him, and I know his family and background, there is a part of him that, if he could be here for this and this WrestleMania in Hollywood, he would turn over every stone and walk through fire to be able to do it, if he could.” The Game further added.

Triple H and The Rock have had a rivalry since the start of their careers. It will be interesting to see whether The Rock shows up for the next WrestleMania and whether he will work with Triple H.
