Who Won WWE Royal Rumble 2023? Winners, Losers and Surprise Returns

The 36th annual Royal Rumble Premium Live Event took place on Saturday from the Alamodome in San Antonio Texas and the show had some incredible moments.

The men's Royal Rumble match kicked off the show and a returning Cody Rhodes won the battle royal and punched his ticket to the main event of Wrestlemania 39.

Rhodes entered at the number 30 spot and confirmed his win by eliminating the current Intercontinental Champion Gunther who entered at the number 1 spot.

The match also saw the returns of WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, YouTuber Logan Paul and WWE legend Edge. Big names like Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins were also part of the match.

The women's Royal Rumble match was won by Rhea Ripley who entered at the number one spot. Ripley won by eliminating Liv Morgan in the end.

In the other matches, Bray Wyatt defeated LA Knight in a "Pitch Black" match and Bianca Belair defeated Alexa Bliss to retain her Raw Women's Championship.

In the main event, Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed Universal Championship by defeating Kevin Owens. After the match, Sami Zayn turned on Reigns by hitting him with a steel chair.

The Bloodline then gave Zayn and Owens a massive beatdown to send the show off the air. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see what happens to Zayn moving forward after his actions on the show.
