Triple H Cancels Edge's Return Match With 41-Year-Old Former WWE Champion

Edge was one of the best WWE superstars during his prime in the company. He was known for his iconic tag team with Christian. Together they won 7 tag team titles.

Edge gained popularity when he became WWE's Triple Crown Champion and won the first-ever Money in the Bank ladder match in 2005. He also became the winner of the Royal Rumble 2010.

Mr. Money in the Bank made his last appearance in WWE where he was defeated by Finn Balor in an "I Quit" match.

He was expected to make his comeback in WWE's Royal Rumble 2023 to seek revenge against Fin Balor. However, the wait for the revenge is expected to increase as WWE canceled his rematch.

Reports stated that there were plans for the 11-time World Champion to return for the 2023 Royal Rumble and engage in a thrilling Hell in a Cell bout against Finn Balor.

It was also believed that WWE may plan to team up with Edge and his wife Beth Phoenix to fight against Fin Balor and Rhea Ripley in the Hell in the Cell match.

Lately, Edge has been busy filming the Disney+ Series Percy Jackson - where he has been cast as Ares.

If the match had taken place, it would have been announced or would have had a build-up. Hence, it seems very unlikely for the audience to witness the 11-time World Champion in the upcoming Royal Rumble.
