“I Think It Su*ked”: Brock Lesnar Is Innocent Despite the Fan Hate

When it comes to one of the shortest championship titles matches in WWE, Brock Lesnar v/s Kofi Kingston is the first name that flashes in our heads.

The debut of WWE SmackDown on Fox concluded with a WWE Championship match, but the bout was over less than 10 seconds after the bell rang.

The match, however, resulted in Brock Lesnar facing a lot of criticism and hate from WWE fans as Kofi's 6-month championship reign was snitched away without giving him any opportunity to reclaim it.

Kingston was supposed to get some follow-ups the next week. However, he did not get a one-on-one shot at the WWE championship for a year and a half. Kofi later faced Bobby Lashley for the title, only to find himself getting squashed by Lashley.

On The Public Enemies Podcast, former WWE Writer Chris Dunn discussed this event and stated that Lesnar needed a dominant victory before heading into his match with Cain Velasquez.

"I think the feeling was that Brock wasn't going back to Kofi. He was going to face Cain and they wanted to build the Cain match, and they felt like that dominant performance was the way to do that. I think it sucked." Chris Dunn said.

Brock v/s Kofi was only a setup for Brock's match with Cain by the management. Yet, Brock faced a lot of hate which he didn't deserve as he was completely innocent.

It is interesting to see how a decision made by the management for the benefit of a wrestler sometimes gets backfired when it is not liked by the audience.
