CM Punk is one of the all-time greats in WWE. He held the WWE Championship for an incredible 434 days and had some of the best matches in WWE's history.

His matches against John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H and Brock Lesnar are some of the highest-rated games in WWE. Also, the stardom he gained was comparable to that of John Cena.

His last match was Royal Rumble 2014, where he displayed a stellar performance by remaining from the beginning to the final four before being eliminated by an already eliminated participant, Corporate Kane.

It is now believed that there is a possibility of the great superstar returning home(WWE) in the upcoming Royal Rumble as one of the key highlights of the event.

In a podcast, Kevin In The Mornings With Allie & Jensen, CM Punk was presented with a scenario of being offered 5.5 million to appear in the Royal Rumble match. His response was, “I’m Sold.”

Wrestling veteran Bill Apter believes that if CM Punk returns in the Royal Rumble, then announcing his return will draw more attention than keeping it as a surprise.

"First of all, him being a surprise it would work more if they announced this CM Punk is coming back and he's going to be in the Royal Rumble. That would draw more attention than him being a surprise in my opinion," said Apter.

CM Punk resides in the heart of WWE fans. His return to the Royal Rumble has the potential to provide alluring time for the wrestling audience.
