Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are by far the best Soccer players of this generation. Their rivalry in La Liga was splendid.
Although Both the athletes have performed equally well and are neck to neck in terms of achievement, They have had a completely diverse 2022.
On one hand, Messi achieved his dream by winning the 2022 FIFA world cup, and on the other side, Ronaldo went through a rough patch as he got expelled from Man Utd and later from the knockout stages of the world cup.
Meanwhile, fans got a chance to spectate Ronaldo and Messi together during a friendly match and then rumors started to spread that Messi will join hands with Al-Hilal.
Amidst the rumors, many reports came up that stated that Messi would not renew his contract with PSG that lasts till June 2023 which made gave butterflies to fans as they wanted the spectacle of two G.O.A.Ts battling out on the pitch.
However, a journalist named Ben Jacobs tweeted, "Messi has no desire to move to Saudi at this stage of his career, especially not with a strong chance of winning an eighth Ballon d'Or in 2023. Al-Hilal has repeatedly downplayed claims linking Messi with them".
Fabrizio Romanina a well-known Italian football journalist tweeted, "PSG reached a verbal agreement with Messi to extend the contract. It’s a verbal pact to continue together. No decision yet on the length of the contract & salary.
Hence, it will be interesting to see what pans out between Messi and PSG as the Argentine No. 10 is likely to continue with The French giants.
