The former musician- turned fashion designer Kanye West, is of the most controversial figures in the entertainment industry. West has recently been the subject of unwanted media criticism, receiving a lot of backlashes for his antisemitic remarks.
Kanye West asserted that the mainstream establishment controls fellow rapper Jay Z and his singer-songwriter wife Beyonce, as well as the NBA stars. He also said that Shaquille O'Neal and LeBron James are under the same control.
The rapper has said something provocative again which led to several controversies. On November 11, 2022, a clip of the brief exchange was made public and was trended on social media.
Kanya West said: “They can control Shaq, they can control Charles Barkley, they can control LeBron James, they can control Jay-Z & Beyoncé, but they can’t control me.”
He continued: While it is not clear who ‘they’ are, West stated that ‘they’ wanted to ‘monetize and traumatize.’
West also added: “And God loves me…You understand? They hit me – Gap, Adidas, all that away. Steal Forbes, who hate me, right? Had to write net worth $400 million... Jesus is King. God love me.”
Even if the antisemitic incident happened almost a year ago, Kanye West’s accusations are not yet over. The rapper has made accusations against a number of well-known figures, which is sure to garner further media attention.
It is also true that Shaquille O'Neal and Kanye West have been engaged in a social media battle for some time. Through different posts and comments, the pair has been verbally abusing one another.
