CM Punk is one of the most controversial professional wrestlers in the world. His famous "Pipe Bomb" promo from 2011 is still one of the greatest promos in WWE's history.

Veteran Wrestling Journalist Bill Apter in a recent interview with Sportskeeda admitted that he doesn't know whether that promo was a work or a shoot.

Punk during his feud with Cena decided to go all out on the WWE during the "Pipe Bomb" promo where he went on an iconic rant on live TV.

The veteran journalist said that Punk was a great guy to work with behind the scenes as he rarely had heat with any of the other superstars.

Apter also revealed that if somebody did anything wrong to the former WWE champion behind the scenes then he made sure that person regretted their actions.

Punk was fired by the WWE on his wedding day back in 2014. He then made his much-anticipated return to wrestling in 2021 when he signed with AEW.

The Chicago native is currently suspended from AEW after he was involved in a backstage fight with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. According to rumors, AEW is planning to buy out his contract.

The former AEW Champion's future in the world of professional wrestling as of now is unclear. Some feel that he will sign with WWE and return at the Royal Rumble this month.
