LeBron James has stated several times that he is unaffected by how his opponents try to take him out of the game. He's confident that his abilities, hard work, and experience will make up for any challenges he faces on the court.

When James succeeds in overcoming challenges in a game, he too has something planned. Sometimes, he uses certain trash talks to frighten opponents, as was the case with Aaron Gordon of the Denver Nuggets.

On December 16, 2022, LeBron James roasted Gordon during the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Denver Nuggets. Gordon's main responsibility was to keep an eye on James, as the Lakers' strength forward.

James said: "That s** might work on every forward in the NBA, but not me. You ain't the only nia*a* that lifts weights. You ain't the only ni*a** that's strong."

Gordon and James fought for position in the paint on numerous occasions, becoming tangled in the process. James' labor under the boards only became more challenging when Anthony Davis another Lakers star got injured in the second quarter.

Thomas Bryant replaced Anthony Davis and assigned Nikola Jokic, the NBA MVP for the major task. While LeBron James and Aaron Gordon engaged in combat throughout the entire game.

LeBron demonstrated that he was still a force to be reckoned with. He had 30 points, 2 steals, 4 assists, and 9 rebounds at the end of that game. More significantly, he led the Lakers to win despite Anthony Davis' another tragic injury.

James also demonstrated that he was a leader by outpacing Gordon, who was much younger, in points, rebounds, and assists.
