Luka Doncic and his mother Mirjam Poterbin have always shared a good relationship with each other. Poterbin always stood as a pillar in shaping Luka's basketball career.
When Luka was just 9 years, his parents split up, and since then his mother Mirjam has been the sole support for Luka. She had a modeling and TV career but later she became an entrepreneur.
Luka Doncic the guy who is often smiling and appears to be cheerful on the basketball court had a sue with his own mother.
The mother-son feud began back in 2018 when Luka was in his NBA rookie season, Luka wanted to be the owner of his trademark 'LUKA DONCIC 7' but his mother refused him directly.
Luka has tried to convince her to give him back the trademark as he wanted to control his own brand name to move up in his career, but company members refused to do so.
According to NBA reporter Mark Stein, it was confirmed that Luka has filed a petition against his mother to the US Patent and Trademark Office for the cancellation of the trademark with the objective that he would become the sole authority over his own brand.
As per "The Stein Line" reports, Luka said: "I have a lot to look forward to as I continue to grow as a player and a person and it's important to me to control my own brand and focus on giving back to my communities."
As per the latest updates, the battle between Luka and his mother has been settled and their relationship is reportedly back on track.
