Within seconds remaining in the game Lakers Vs Charlotte Hornets, LeBron James had a chance to win the tie or take the lead but his shoe had different plans.

The LA Lakers were defeated 134-130 by the Charlotte Hornets in the final seconds of the game due to the twist of James' shoe at the last moment.

As James drove to the basket, his sneaker came off his foot with some hangtime of its own and he fell down on the floor.

James was already stumbling as his right shoe went off. However, he did get a pass off to Dennis Schroder, who unfortunately missed the shot.

If LeBron hadn't lost his balance, he could have drawn a foul for two free throws or powered his way to the basket.

The Lakers trailed by 16 points in the second quarter before storming back with a fourth-quarter rally led by LeBron James. He scored 18 of his 34 points in the final 12 minutes, scoring on LA's last five baskets.

Basketball fans reacted quickly to how the Lakers lost this game. A person said, " This could be the worst loss in the LeBron-era Lakers' history."

Lakers fought hard in front of his fans but David Ham's team trailed for the majority of the fourth quarter before Charlotte's big third quarter. James' fans were ultimately disappointed when their team was unable to compete.
