NBA Veteran Accused of Punching His Own Daughter

The former NBA player and 6-time NBA All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire have been accused of domestic violence against one of his daughters.

As per reports Amar’e Stoudemire has punched his daughter on the jaw and slapped her several times after ‘giving attitude’.

Stoudemire has 4 kids, two sons, and two daughters, with his ex-wife Alexis Stoudemire. As per sources, Amar'e Stoudemire was arrested on Saturday around 10 pm at his Brickell Key bungalow, in Miami.

As per his daughter's affidavit, she said that when her grandmother called her and she asked "what", her father rushed towards her and asked her why she spoke with an attitude. Then, he got angry and hit her.

When she denied replying to him, he punched her on the right side of the jaw, slapped her face, bloodied her nose, and kept slapping the left side of her body. This incident took place around 8 pm.

Stoudemire who was arrested did not jail even after being arrested on 18 December 2022. A no-contact order and $1,500 bail were issued and finally, he was released by 4 p.m. from custody.

Later, around 6:25 p.m. on Sunday, Stoudemire posted a statement announcing his innocence on social media. He refuted his claims saying that his daughter merely received a "whooping" for showing disrespect and nothing else.

After seeing his post many people were commenting on it, putting up their views. Some showed sympathy while others became furious towards him.
