Former United States Champion Matt Riddle was written off TV with a kayfabe injury on last week's Raw after a vicious attack from Solo Sikoa.

Riddle teamed up with Kevin Owens against The Usos for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship but failed to win the title.

The enforcer of the Bloodline then laid out a post-match beatdown on the former tag team champion which forced him to get medical attention.

The RKBro member was then stretchered out of the arena and sent to a nearby hospital. The WWE then announced that Riddle will be out of action for almost six weeks.

According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net the reason why WWE wrote Riddle off TV was due to a failed drug test.

This is the second time that Riddle has failed the test as his match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam had to be postponed due to the reason. The match was then moved to Clash at the Castle.

Haynes also reports that Riddle is currently in a "rehab or fired" situation and The Original Bro cannot afford to fail another drug test.

It's reported that the belief backstage is that Riddle has already entered treatment and will make his return to the company once he completes the recovery program successfully.
