Not so long ago Edmen Shahbazyan was aiming to break Jon Jones' UFC record by becoming the youngest UFC champion of all time.

However, Shahbazyan went on a three fight losing streak after he faced one of the most experienced fighters in the middleweight division, Derek Brunson.

Edmen Shahbazyan lost to Derek Brunson, Jack Hermansson and Nassourdine Imavov in his last three fights leading up to UFC 282.

However, Ronda Rousey's former student picks up an impressive TKO win against Dalcha Lungiambula in the prelims of UFC 282.

Edmen Shahbazyan looked impressive and his cardio looked better than his last fights as he secured a 2nd round TKO win.

Ronda Rousey and Edmen Shahbazyan trained together for a long time when Rousey was the UFC champion and Shahbazyan was a teenager.

Since then Ronda Rousey has transitioned into WWE and Shahbazyan left Rousey to join MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz earlier this year.

However, it's needless to say that Ronda Rousey will be proud to see The Golden Boy back in the win column after a three fight losing streak.
