Gerard Pique and Shakira were together for 12 years and although they weren't officially married to each other, they shared a similar bond to that of a married couple.
Pique met Shakira during the 2010 FIFA world cup on sets. Pique was mesmerized by Shakira's dance in the famous "WAKA WAKA" song. He felt her dance was cute and was very curious to know more about her
It was a love-at-the-first-sight moment for Pique and he was quite adamant to be with Shakira. Both of them dated for a while and after a year or so they mutually decided to announce their relationship
Pique was in great need of Shakira's attention and the Colombian did her part too. Pique for the sake of engaging, texted Shakira to know about Africa's weather and the conversation eventually led to their next meeting ( 2010 world cup final)
In January 2012, The couple made their first red carpet entry during the ballon D'or ceremony. They went on several vacations (Boston etc) and enjoyed quality time together
During their relationship, they welcomed a son (Milan) and a daughter (Sasha) and their family appeared to be in a good space
And just when everything seemed to be going smoothly for them, Jordi martin who covered every bit of the Pique-Shakira relationship was the one to expose Pique's involvement with Clara.
The former couple recently met each other in the Barcelona court for their children's custody. Both of them mentioned that they won't let the debacle ruin their children's lives and that their children now are their topmost priority.
