There’s no denying Francis Ngannou is arguably one of the fiercest punchers in the history of the UFC, possibly mixed martial arts.

The current UFC heavyweight champion has time and again showcased his disastrous power inside the cage, and continues to be a force to reckon with inside the Octagon.

Now, it looks like even Francis Ngannou has met his match! It’s easy to assume Derrick Lewis to be that guy, however, that’s not the case.

Russia’s Sergei Pavlovich has emerged as a serious powerhouse in the division, now with 5 back to back stoppage wins to his name.

Interestingly enough, the only fighter to beat Sergei Pavlovich is Alistair Overeem. The only loss of his MMA journey came in his UFC debut back in November 2018.

Pavlovich has never gone past one round in his UFC career. The Russian fighter hasn’t spent more than a minute in each of his last two appearances.  Opponents? Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa.

Needless to say, with his sheer power Pavlovich has put even the likes of Francis Ngannou on notice, and with a win over #4 ranked Tai Tuivasa, Pavlovich will find himself in the top 5 of UFC’s heavyweight division.

It won’t be wrong to say that the Russian fighter is possibly a win or two away from getting a title shot. He currently sits behind Ciryl Gane, Stipe Miocic, and Curtis Blaydes.
