Lionel Messi and company defeated Mexico 2:0 in the must-win game on 27th November and guaranteed their place in the knockout phase
However, the post-match dressing room celebrations of Argentina became the center of discussion as some of the Mexicans were quite annoyed.
Lionel Messi was allegedly seen kicking Mexico's jersey in the viral video and Canelo Alvarez didn't take much time to criticize Messi for his actions
The Mexican boxer tried to intimidate Messi and asked the Argentinian to stay away from him for his greater good. His exact words were, "He(Messi) better pray to God that I don't find him!!”
Sergio Aguero soon came into Messi's defense and schooled Alvarez for his unprofessional and rude behavior and rightly so mentioned that it was not intentional from Messi.
The controversy didn't stop here, As Canelo took no chance to spare Aguero. Canelo sent some abusive voice notes to the former Argentinian striker in anger
Sergio Aguero stated that he received a voicemail from Alvarez calling him a s***head. Aguero was scared when he received Alvarez's audio message which said, "You s******d, I liked you, a*****e.'"
Alvarez however apologized to both Messi and Aguero and said he got a bit emotional and carried away because of his love for his country
