Brock Lesnar was asked to perform the shooting star press in the main event of Wrestlemania 2003 by Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.

The former WWE champion used to perform the risky move during his early days in the developmental system.

In the WrestleMania main event WWE championship match against Kurt Angle, Lesnar was told to hit the move to pick up the win.

But Brock Lesnar wasn't confident about the move as he hasn't performed it in a long time but the call was made by Laurinaitis.

Lesnar then performed the move at the Show of Shows but ended up injuring himself as he fell on his head.

Lesnar in his book "Death Clutch" revealed that the idea was stupid and he should have listened to his gut and said no to the proposal.

Circled Dot

The Beast Incarnate ended up getting a concussion due to the move but it could've been worse as he could've suffered a broken neck due to the nasty landing.

Lesnar went ahead and finished the match by hitting Angle with an F5 but the moment is still talked about for the huge botch.
