Dana White Talks About Leaving UFC Amid Health Concerns

In a recent press conference, UFC President Dana White talked about his retirement and the future of the UFC.

"I’ve hopefully have built a business that will last for many, many years after I’m dead. The UFC will be very different when I’m gone." Dana said while talking about the sport's future after him.

Speaking of his retirement, he denied leaving the sport anytime soon. “No, no, I’m here unfortunately for you guys. I’m here to stay.”,

Dana White has been the President of UFC since 2001 when the company was sold to Zuffa, an American Sports promotion company for $2 million.

Dana White has been working dedicatedly as the UFC president since then. Currently, he also owns a 9% share in the company.

Dana White is known as one of the most prominent sports promoters in the world. He is responsible for the meteoric rise of the brand UFC and the whole MMA in the last two decades.

In 2016, White was involved in a deal where he sold UFC to Endeavour Group Holding for a staggering $4 billion.

Under White's leadership, UFC has reached a global audience due to vast broadcasting and consistently hosting events internationally. He currently claims the UFC's valuation is around $10 billion.
