It’s no surprise that Henry Cejudo has continued to remain active despite calling retirement back bat UFC 249. Henry Cejudo dropped the bantamweight title soon after his TKO victory over Dominick Cruz, and is eyeing a boxing bout against lightweight boxer Ryan Garcia. Interestingly enough, Cejudo has managed to be more relevant despite dropping the bantamweight championship belt, and has been active on social media calling out fighters, and trash-talking the entire bantamweight division.

And this time, it was Aljamain Sterling’s turn to face the wrath of former dual champion Henry Cejudo. Ever since his retirement, Henry Cejudo has maintained that all the fighters fighting in the division are now fighting for the silver medal, considering he hold the championship belts in both the division, and has never been finished inside the octagon. Cejudo vacated his flyweight championship belt after defeating one of the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, TJ Dillashaw. In his title defense at the Bantamweight division, Cejduo became the first fighter to finish Dominick Cruz inside the octagon. In the process, he became one of the only three fighters in the history of UFC to defend their championship belts across two divisions.
While there are reasons to believe that Henry Cejudo would come out of retirement sometime in future, it remains highly unlikely. It’s safe to assume to that Cejudo will go down in history as one of the greatest mixed martial arts.
