Jorge Masvidal’s brand value has only gone up in the recent years, and the rise has been exponential to the level that he was in talks for a potential bout with Conor McGregor, and is next in line for the UFC welterweight championship. Masvidal returned to the octagon in March, 2019 after a two year hiatus. Since consecutive losses to Stephen Thompson and Demian Maia, Masvidal’s rise in the ranks has seen him knockout former title contender Darren Till, and register the fastest KO in UFC history with a flying knee KO of Ben Askren. Masvidal would later get a stoppage victory over Nate Diaz for the one-off BMF title. In the process, he became one of the very few fighters to headline a UFC PPV without a UFC title belt on line.

Masvidal puts fighters to sleep, and who can forget the brutal knockout of Darren Till. Till entered into the fight coming of a loss against Tyron Woodley for the UFC welterweight championship, and squared off against Jorge Masvidal in the headliner of UFC Fight Night: London. While the odds favored the young british prospect, Masvidal sent a message to the entire division when he put him to sleep.
Jorge Masvidal promises to make Kamaru Usman famous
In a recent interaction with Ariel Helwani of ESPN, Masvidal gave his thoughts on current welterwieght champion Kamaru Usman.
“Well, nobody gives a F about this dude, but I am gonna make him famous. I guarantee. Just like I made that British dude famous backstage, whatever his name is, make this dude even more famous.”
Jorge Masvidal also indicated that between Nate Diaz and Kamaru Usman, he wants to fight Kamaru Usman.

What’s next for Masvidal?
It remains to be seen who Masvidal will fight next. He has repeatedly called for a fight against McGregor, while also passing comments on current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Recently, Masvidal was also seen pushing the idea of a rematch against Nate Diaz.
